An ongoing pilgrimage to self, to others, to awe, to all — via
breath, story, and song

Infinite Crescendo is a living library of sensory experiences from journey designers, music makers, and guides Paul Butler and Carly Jo Carson.

With a new and different take—and a bigger vision overall—on guided meditations and breathwork, we collaborate with a universe of creative partners to pair personal storytelling, active imagination, prayers, and song with live instrumentation, immersive encounters, and one-of-a-kind soundscapes.

What emerges are three kinds of journeys; three distinct but interrelated Infinite Crescendo offerings. From there, the possibilities are infinite.

Conversations

Stories are medicine; they heal us from the inside out. Our recorded dialogs with thinkers, seers, and seekers both known and lesser-known are based on the knowledge  that we are all mirrors for one another. As generous and vulnerable guests such as Mara Hoffman, Tenzin Cheogyal, and Laraaji open up to host Carly Jo Carson, deep opportunities for reflection and resonance emerge.

You can find Infinite Crescendo Conversations wherever you find your favorite podcasts, or listen right here.

Microjourneys

In collaboration with each of our Conversation guests—and based directly on the ideas that arise in those dialogs—we produce five- to thirty-minute aural experiences known as Microjourneys. Resounding with deep navigational skills and heart-opening exchanges (as well as great beats and melodies), Microjourneys function as a microdose of a full, immersive journey. Think: Guided meditations but so much more … Infinite.

Whereas our Conversations are available and open to all, these poetic and profound experiences are exclusive to the Infinite Crescendo portal and suggest a more intentional, dedicated listening experience.

ENTER THE PORTAL

Both the destination and the ongoing journey, Arcs are transformational modern-day rituals that include incantation, vibrational coregulation, channeled harmonics, and elements of prayer and release. Designed and crafted by three-time grammy nominated musician and producer Paul Butler and breathwork guide and musician Carly Jo Carson, these hour-plus compositional breathwork experiences can be as potent as plant medicine and as penetrative as a healer’s prayer.

The resetting, rewiring, releasing, and re-membering energies of Arcs can be experienced via the Infinite Crescendo Portal as well as in person during our one-off events and Heart Song Retreats.

In-Person
Journeys

Retreats

Infinite Crescendo Heart Song Retreats use breath, song, and community to create deep opening, wide expansion, and profound reordering. Each retreat includes several distinct breath journeys as well as multiple group vocal exercises designed to unite us with our truest voice.

Creative integration (a kind of processing that ties back to intentions and seeds powerful shifts) is the final component, and may take the form of visual art, yoga, dance, and/or sound healing meditations. Past retreat locations include Bonny Doon, CA, Orcas Island, WA and Mallorca, Spain—each grounded with nourishing farm-to-table organic cuisine.

Breathwork

Join us for live, in-person breath-based Journeys in the Los Angeles area and beyond. Combining the feeling of a live concert with the complete Arc experience of incantation, coregulation, and other moments of prayer and release, our live Breathwork Journeys create deeply sensorial and penetrative connections.

Led by three-time grammy nominated musician and producer Paul Butler and breathwork guide and musician Carly Jo Carson, these group experiences nurture awareness and togetherness, and support positive shifts both individually and communally.

Microjourney Showcase

What began as a living room concert to support folk musician and Infinite Crescendo collaborator Josephine Foster, our Microjourney Showcases facilitate intimate and exclusive live experiences with the literal and figurative voices that inform and expand our family of offerings.

Something special happens when we gather to listen and witness; we celebrate the alchemy of the group and the power of resonate live sound with our Microjourney Showcases.

Parker Ainsworth is a songwriter, storyteller, yogi and healer currently pursuing his MFT licensure from the deserts of Southern California. He came to this work as many do, on a quest to get free and has been grateful for the humbling, heart opening, mind blowing journey that is this process. Originally from Austin TX, now residing just outside Joshua Tree, Parker is committed to co-creating spaces that bring one deeply into the moment through breathe, sound and song. In addition to house concerts, for those interested in experiencing an Infinite Crescendo Arc in person, he is available to facilitate ceremonies in the high desert community and beyond.

Jules Willcox is an actor and breathwork facilitator exploring the intersection of creativity, art, and healing. While teaching Voice and Speech at UCLA, she discovered the power of breath to bypass the mind, connect with the heart, and deepen a sense of purpose. This approach fosters a connection to self, liberation of the voice, and release of stuck emotions. Drama school isn't for everyone, but we could all use a little more emotional and physical freedom.

Jules is deeply grateful for the mentorship of Jean Louis Rodrigue in the Alexander Technique, David Elliott's Healer Training, and Carly Jo Carson’s Infinite Crescendo Immersion.
